Jack Sadowsky has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Jack is currently the Co-founder and VP of Discovery Chemistry at Kimia Therapeutics, a position they have held since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Carmot Therapeutics, Inc. where they were the Director from January 2023 to April 2023 and the Principal Investigator from April 2021 to January 2023.
Before joining Carmot Therapeutics, Jack held positions at Genentech as a Senior Scientist from February 2019 to April 2021 and as a Scientist from February 2013 to February 2019.
Jack began their career as a Scientist at Carmot Therapeutics in April 2011, where they played an important role in developing and implementing a nanoscale high-throughput screening platform for identifying small molecule drug candidates.
Prior to working at Carmot Therapeutics, Jack was a Postdoc at the University of California San Francisco from December 2006 to April 2011, where they conducted research on drug discovery technologies and mechanism of action of compounds. Jack also has experience as a Graduate Student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from August 2001 to November 2006 and as a Fulbright Fellow at Universität Leipzig from June 2000 to June 2001.
Jack's career began with a summer internship at IBM Almaden Research Center in June 1999.
Jack Sadowsky completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry at Pomona College from 1996 to 2000. Following this, they pursued further education and obtained their PhD in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they studied from 2001 to 2006.
