David Hick has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. David started in 2014 as an Architectural Intern at LRO Lederer Ragnarsdottir Oei GmbH & Co. KG. David then worked as an Architectural Visualizer at Green City Solutions GmbH from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, they joined Technische Universität Dresden as a Scientific Coordinator until 2021. From 2020 to 2021, they worked at Spectos GmbH as a Research & Business Development associate. In 2021, they became a Consultant for Urban Data Strategies & Circular Cities at DKSR - Daten-Kompetenzzentrum für Städte und Regionen. Currently, they are the Lecturer for Smart City Solutions at Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart starting from September 2022.

David Hick earned a Diploma in Engineering in Architecture from Technische Universität Dresden, where they studied from 2010 to 2017. In 2014, they also attended Technische Universität Graz for a brief period, focusing on Architecture.

DKSR, the Data Competence Center for Cities and Regions, supports all cities and regions in the data-based development of sustainable, smart municipalities. As a joint spin-off company of Telekom, Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, [ui!] GmbH, and axxessio GmbH, we bring competence and advice on strategic urban data usage to all areas and enable municipalities and municipal companies to face current challenges confidently and safely by using digital solutions. With our open-source data platform and our network, we create comprehensive scalability and synergy effects for all our partners.
