Kathy Kizer

Kathy Kizer is currently Of Counsel at DLA Piper LLP, specializing in a broad spectrum of substantive law. They have previously served as Deputy County Counsel for Contra Costa County and held attorney positions at several prestigious firms, including Nixon Peabody LLP and Thelen LLP. Kizer has extensive litigation experience representing diverse clients, such as municipalities, financial institutions, and corporations, across multiple jurisdictions. They earned a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and hold a Ph.D. in English from Emory University, along with a Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.
