Pieter Coetzee

Pieter Coetzee is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in business development and management within the energy sector. Currently serving as Senior Director for Enterprise Deal Management and Business Development at Itron, Inc. since January 2017, Pieter also chairs the Smart Meter Working Group for the DLMS User Association and holds a non-executive director position at iPay (Pty) Ltd. Previous roles include President of the IDIS Association and various senior leadership positions at Itron and Actaris, focusing on business development and smart grid solutions. Pieter's career began at Schlumberger, progressing from Production Manager to Solutions and Marketing Director, and includes a foundation in R&D at AEG Energy Control. Pieter holds a B. Eng in Industrial Electronics from Stellenbosch University.
