Erin McFarlane, APR, currently serves as the External Communications Manager at EPCOR since February 2022, following a substantial tenure in communications roles. Prior to this position, Erin was with Edmonton Public Schools as a Senior Advisor, focusing on executive communications, crisis management, and strategic communications from October 2015 to February 2022. Erin's experience also includes serving as a Public Affairs Officer for the Government of Alberta from February 2013 to October 2015, where responsibilities included media relations and speech writing. Earlier roles included Communications Advisor at Calgary Health Trust, where Erin implemented the organization's first social media strategy, and Communications Coordinator at CMA Alberta, managing various communication initiatives and launching the first intranet. Erin began the communications career at the Canadian Cancer Society as a Marketing and Communications Coordinator. Erin holds a degree in Sociology from the University of Alberta and studied Public Relations at MacEwan University.
