Mailin Torrealba Hidalgo

Mailin Torrealba Hidalgo has extensive experience in internal audit, risk management, and IT controls. They currently serve as the Head of Internal Audit Malta & IT Audit Corp at dLocal, where they assess risks, evaluate governance processes, and ensure the effectiveness of internal controls. Prior to this, they worked as an IT Risk Manager at Deloitte Malta from 2019 to 2023. They also held managerial roles at IMR & Asociados and PwC Argentina, where they managed auditing and consulting projects, evaluated IT controls, and identified operational risks. Furthermore, they worked as an Information Security & Risk Management Consultant at Banesco Banco Universal and as a Senior Consultant at PwC Espiñeira Pacheco y Asociados, where they contributed to financial audits and implemented IT risk mitigation projects.

Mailin Torrealba Hidalgo obtained a Bachelor's degree in System Engineering from Universidad Nacional Experimental Politécnica 'Antonio José de Sucre' from 2000 to 2006. In 2018, they completed a course diploma in Information Systems Auditing from ISACA. During the same year, they also earned a CISA certification in Information Systems Auditing from ISACA. Mailin pursued additional education in Consulting Management at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in 2018 and completed a Business Management Program from the same university in 2016. In 2023, they enrolled in a course for Data Protection Officers/Leads with a focus on GDPR at 21 Academy.
