Asif Ansar is currently the Head of Department for Energy System Integration at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), a position they have held since 2021. They previously served as the Head of High Temperature Systems and Processes - Electrochemical Energy from 2016 to 2021, and as Technology Head for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells from 2004 to 2012 at DLR. Additionally, they were the CEO of Saan Energi AB from 2012 to 2016 and have held the role of Roadmap Leader for Decarbonizing Industry with Hydrogen Europe from 2020 to 2023. Asif also contributed to the EERA Steering Committee for Hydrogen & Fuel Cells from 2017 to 2021 and earned a PhD in Ceramics and Surface Engineering from Université de Limoges in 2004, along with recent studies at Harvard Business School in 2023.
