Dirk Schönweitz

Dirk Schönweitz is a Scientific Officer at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), where they assess and supervise research projects in the field of aviation. Previously, Dirk held various research engineer positions at DLR focused on CFD-solver development, engine fan design, and aerodynamic analysis. They gained valuable experience through internships at SGL Carbon, Opel, and EASTERN COMPANY S.A.E, and have contributed to multiple projects related to aerospace technology and propulsion systems. Dirk earned a Dipl.-Ing. in Mechanical Engineering from Technische Universität Darmstadt and studied Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
