Tim Russell

Tim Russell has extensive work experience in the IT industry. Tim currently serves as the CIO at DMC Insurance, Inc. since June 2018. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Infrastructure and Operations at Allied Solutions LLC from September 2017 to June 2018.

From 2003 to April 2017, Tim held various positions at Baldwin & Lyons, Inc., including Assistant Vice President of IT Services. In this role, they managed all aspects of the IT Services group, including support for 500 users and 90 contractors, staff and budget management, data centers, support systems, disaster recovery, and IT audit. Tim led a team of 27 members and managed a budget of $14.5 million annually.

Before joining Baldwin & Lyons, Tim worked at Expanets, Inc. from 1999 to 2003. Tim held the position of Senior Manager of Infrastructure Services and was responsible for managing IT services for data centers, servers, networks, remote access, and procurement. Tim led a team of 26 members and managed a budget of $7 million annually.

Tim also has experience as a Project Manager, Consultant, and Network Engineer at BaseNet Computer Solutions Inc. from 1998 to 1999. Additionally, they worked as a Network Engineer and IT Support Manager for the MidStates Area at Johnson Controls Inc. in 1997 and as a Network Engineer and CAD/CAM Systems and IT Support Manager at MEEDCO Inc. from 1995 to 1997.

Tim's early career was in the U.S. Air Force and Royal Air Force (RAF) Mildenhall, United Kingdom (UK) from 1989 to 1995. Tim held several positions including Senior Network Engineer, Small Computer Support Center Technician, Communications Center Computer Operator and Training Manager, and Data Processing Center Computer Operator and Trainer. Tim was responsible for managing a metropolitan area network, implementing a WAN connecting bases, and creating and operating a Network Control Center's Helpdesk.

Tim Russell has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Studies from the University of Maryland Global Campus, which they earned from 1990 to 1995. Tim also holds an Associate in Arts degree in Management from the same institution, which they obtained from 1990 to 1994. In addition, Tim completed an Associate in Applied Science degree in Information Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, from 1990 to 1993.
