Adam Martel has a diverse work experience in the mining industry. Adam started their career in 2012 at DMC Mining Services as a Junior Estimator, working on developing proposals and estimates for various tenders. Adam also worked as a Project EIT at the Red Lake Bore Hole Hoist Project, where they were involved in the installation of a winze and development work.
In 2014, Martel continued their work as a Junior Estimator at DMC Mining Services, focusing on proposal development and scheduling. Adam also took on the role of Project EIT at the Zone V Shaft Steel Installation project, where they were responsible for planning and scheduling shaft construction activities.
Martel joined Lake Shore Gold in 2016 as a Project EIT, working on various projects at the mining company.
Returning to DMC Mining Services in 2017, Martel took on the position of Project Coordinator for the BHP Jansen Project and later worked as an Engineering Coordinator for the Sirius Minerals North Yorkshire Polyhalite Project.
In 2018, they became a Project Manager for Vale, overseeing project deliverables and ensuring adherence to DMC standards and client expectations. Adam held this role until 2020 when they were promoted to Manager of Canadian Operations.
Most recently, Martel has assumed the role of Vice President of Operations (North America) at DMC Mining Services, starting in 2023.
Adam Martel attended Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne from 2012, majoring in Mining and Mineral Engineering. Adam obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree from the university. In addition, they have received certifications including Advanced Rigging, Full Common Core Certified from NORCAT, Norcat Certified, and WHMIS Certified from WHMISNow.
