Sami Karjalainen has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of digital marketing and eCommerce. Sami has held various roles in different companies. Sami started their career as a Web Designer at Mainostoimisto MBE, where they designed and developed mobile-friendly websites and eCommerce stores. Sami then moved on to work at Isku Interior Oy, initially as a Digital Marketing Specialist, where they developed and optimized B2C marketing campaigns. Sami was promoted to Digital Marketing Manager and later transitioned to the role of eCommerce Manager, overseeing the development of new online stores and managing operations. Sami then worked at HT Collection Oy as an Ecommerce Web Developer & Digital Marketing Specialist, where they managed an eCommerce store development project and optimized various advertising campaigns. Sami later joined Pentik Oy as an Ecommerce Manager, responsible for the development and management of online sales channels and leading a team. Currently, Sami is the Head of Customer Value Management and Online at DNA Oyj, where they lead a team and focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences and stimulating growth in the devices and mobile services business.
Sami Karjalainen completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business informatics from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in 2019. Sami also holds a Bachelor of Design (multimedia systems) from RMIT University, which they obtained between 2007 and 2011. In addition to their formal education, Sami has obtained various certifications, including Coaching for Results from the Project Management Institute, Advanced Google Analytics, Backlink Management, Google Ads Search Certification, Google Analytics for Power Users, Keyword Research, Local SEO, Mobile SEO, and SEO Fundamentals from Semrush, Growth Hacking Crash Course for Corporate Leaders and Managers from Columbia Road, and Elements of AI from the University of Helsinki. Sami recently obtained a certification in Digital Marketing from HubSpot Academy in March 2022.
