Serafim Batzoglou

Serafim Batzoglou serves as the Chief Data Officer, SVP of Data, and VP Chief of Computation at Seer since November 2020. Batzoglou is also a Co-Founder of DNAnexus, a role held since 2009. Previously, Batzoglou was the Chief Data Officer at insitro from January 2020 to November 2020 and served as VP of Applied and Computational Biology at Illumina from September 2016 to January 2020. Batzoglou was a Professor of Biomedical Data Sciences and Computer Science at Stanford University from September 2001 to June 2017. Batzoglou earned a PhD in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 1992 and 2000.
