Olaug Svarva

Olaug Svarva is the current Chairwoman at DNB and has previous experience as CEO of Folketrygdfondet and Board Member of The Employers' Association Spekter.Born in Norway, Svarva studied economics at the Norwegian School of Economics before beginning their career in the financial sector. Olaug started out as an analyst at DNB before moving on to become CEO of Investinor and then CEO of Norfund. In 2006, they became CEO of Folketrygdfondet, where they remained until 2018. During their time as CEO, they were responsible for managing the Government Pension Fund Norway on behalf of the Ministry of Finance. Olaug is a responsible and active investor with a long investment horizon, aiming to achieve high financial returns over time. In 2018, they became Board Member of The Employers' Association Spekter.

Olaug Svarva has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Denver. Olaug is also an authorized portfolio manager from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). Finally, they have an Associate's degree in Business Administration from Trondheim University College.
