Jim Coats

Jim Coats has extensive experience in engineering and management, currently serving as President of Triangle MicroWorks, Inc. since September 1994, where the company develops and supports Source Code Libraries for communication protocols. Coats is also an active member of the DNP Users Group's Executive Committee, holding positions as Treasurer and Vice President. Prior to Triangle MicroWorks, Coats worked at Biomedical Technology Inc. from 1988 to 1994 in various engineering and managerial roles, and at Lockheed from 1985 to 1988 as a Manufacturing Research Engineer. Coats holds both a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
