Vegar Rype

Vegar Rype is a Senior Principal Engineer and Key Account Manager at DNV, with extensive experience in managing business performance for major ship owners and ship management companies in Northern Europe since September 2009. Prior roles include Principal Engineer and Head of Section for Hull and Materials, focusing on technical and production support for maritime operations. Before joining DNV, Vegar Rype served as Project Manager and Hull Structure Specialist at Det Norske Veritas from 2002 to 2009, with responsibilities in ship operations and survey work. Vegar Rype holds a Master of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and a Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering from Oslo and Akershus University College. Additionally, Vegar Rype enhanced business acumen through studies at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
