Savonna Ward

Creative Services Production Coordinator at Do Big Things

Savonna Ward is an Associate Writer at Do Big Things. She is a transplant from the Kansas City, MO area, but studied music at St. Louis Community College – Meramec in Kirkwood, MO and later transferred to Trinity Washington University in 2015 to study political science and psychology. In the spring of 2018, Savonna started her career at a progressive political fundraising firm, where she worked closely with multiple members of the House and Senate. Prior to joining DBT, they worked as an associate for a boutique social impact communications firm in D.C. and also as a production assistant for their partner firm – which was a progressive political advertising firm.

Savonna has a deep passion for creative arts, specifically photography, cinematography, and music, especially where they intersect human rights advocacy. In their free time, you can find them cuddling their 12 year old furbaby, Bryton, or capturing personal or client-related memories and history through photoshoots, along with curating the soundtrack to those important moments, simply because music is a way of life.
