Derek Bierman

Derek Bierman currently serves as the Chief Information Officer at Doane University since January 2020, where responsibilities include overseeing technology strategies and implementations. Prior to this role, Derek held multiple positions at Shockra from October 1998 to January 2020, focusing on technology strategy and digital transformation. Derek also contributed to Northeast Community College from November 2007 to August 2019, starting as the first Vice President of Technology Services, advising on technology initiatives and managing significant budgets. Earlier experience includes roles at Nebraska Public Power District, providing web and graphic design services since October 1996. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Bellevue University and studied Commercial Art at Central Community College.
