Michael Lin

Michael Lin is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in the insurance and financial sectors. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Chief Information and Technology Officer at Wawanesa Insurance, Michael also holds significant roles such as Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Centre for Study of Insurance Operations and board member for the Facility Association. Additionally, Michael contributes to academia as an Adjunct Professor in Cyber Security at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies and as a Program Advisory Council Member at York University School of Continuing Studies. Previously, Michael was the Chief Information Officer for Canada at Travelers, and held senior leadership positions at Morneau Shepell and Aviva Canada, focusing on technology direction, innovation, and operational efficiency. Michael's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Computer Science from the University of Toronto.
