Gavin Michaelson

Gavin Michaelson is an experienced reporter currently working at the La Crosse Tribune as of February 2024. Previously, Gavin held various positions including Host at Doc B's Restaurant + Bar, Canvasser for the Minnesota House DFL Caucus, and Crew Member at Chipotle Mexican Grill. Additionally, Gavin served as a Communications Intern for both the Minnesota DFL Party and the Office of Governor Tim Walz & Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan, along with being a Columnist for the Minnesota Daily. Early career experience includes an internship with Helping Hand for Relief and Development and a role as Retail Sales Specialist at SunWerks. Gavin earned a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Mass Communications from the University of Minnesota.
