Amber Mallett

Director, Employee Experience at DockYard

Amber Mallett is the Employee Experience Director at DockYard, a digital product agency specializing in user experience, custom software, and strategy. Amber has over five years of experience in human resources and has been with DockYard for two years.

Prior to joining DockYard, Amber was a remote Human Resources Generalist with WorkReduce, a software development consultancy, from October 2019 to February 2021. In this role, they were responsible for onboarding, offboarding, and employee relations; along with benefits administration and process & procedure development. Amber also managed job postings and wrote job descriptions as needed, scheduled interviews and skill assessments in multiple time zones, and drafted offer letters. Amber reached out for candidate feedback on the recruitment process and monthly reported to the COO. Amber also conducted new hire orientation.

Before their role at WorkReduce, Amber was a remote Human Resources Generalist with Metric Theory, a performance marketing agency, from December 2018 to April 2019. In this role, they were responsible for onboarding, offboarding, and employee relations; along with benefits administration and process & procedure development. Amber also managed job postings and wrote job descriptions as needed, scheduled interviews and skill assessments in multiple time zones, and drafted offer letters. Amber reached out for candidate feedback on the recruitment process and monthly reported to the COO. Amber also conducted new hire orientation.

Prior to their roles at WorkReduce and Metric Theory, Amber was an HR Generalist/Recruitment Consultant with Natural Pawz, a pet retailer with 20 locations in Texas, from April 2017 to June 2017. In this role, they developed a recruitment strategy for the 20 retail locations and was responsible for job posting management and writing job descriptions. Amber conducted pre-screening phone calls and scheduled interviews.

Amber began their career as an HR Generalist with Veterans Evaluation Services, a provider of medical evaluations for veterans, in February 2016. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of human resources including benefits administration, employee relations, recruiting, and onboarding.

Amber Mallett has a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University and a BS in Purchasing, Business Administration from Texas State University. Amber is certified in Lean Six Sigma and Sourcing Training and Certifications.

They work with Victor Oates - IT Data Security Manager, Sarah Woods - Chief People Officer, and Estelle DeBlois - Director of Engineering. Their manager is Brian Cardarella, CEO & Founder.
