Jeffrey Livingston

Dr. Jeff Livingston is a nationally recognized thought leader, speaker, writer, blogger and practicing physician who is considered an expert in the use of social media to educate patients, using new and innovative technology to improve care outcomes and the patient experience.

He has worked at MacArthur Medical Center since 2003, and now serves as the company's CEO. He has previously served as chairman of the ObGyn Department at Baylor Scott and White in Irving. Currently he serves on the Board at THR Harris Methodist HEB and the medical director at Texas Health Surgery Bedford. Dr. Livingston continues to speak, consult and provide leadership strategies to physicians, practice leaders and health IT decision makers throughout the United States. He has been profiled in USA Today, Wired, Computer World and Physicians Practice, among others, for his innovative combined use of Facebook, Twitter and other social media channels to effectively communicate with patients to better meet their healthcare needs, educate them and improve their patient experience.

He was awarded the Texas Heroes for Children award by Governor Rick Perry in 2012 for teen pregnancy advocacy and volunteerism. He was awarded the Texas Health Heroes award in 2104 for dedicated services by Texas Health Resources Hospital System.
