Reuben Mathew

Gene A. Copello Health Advocacy Fellowship at Doctors for America

Reuben Mathew currently serves as an Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Resident at Tulane University School of Medicine since July 2023. Simultaneously, Reuben is a Copello Fellow with Doctors for America, focusing on advocacy for access to affordable medicines and FDA policies. Education includes a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from St. George's University (2019-2023), a Master’s Degree in International Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (2016-2018), and dual Bachelor's Degrees in Biology and Society from Cornell University (2012-2016). Previous experience encompasses roles such as Healthcare Fellow with U.S. PIRG and internships with the Maryland Citizens' Health Initiative, contributing to public advocacy and health initiatives. Research involvement includes managing data for a COPD study in Uganda and working on genetic screening at the Cardiac Research Institute.
