Nancy MacCready-Williams

Nancy MacCready-Williams is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership and governance within the health and workers' compensation sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Doctors Nova Scotia since August 2011, Nancy advocates for nearly 3,500 physicians while promoting quality healthcare. Previously, Nancy held the role of Chief Executive Officer at the Workers' Compensation Board of Nova Scotia from June 2004 to August 2011, overseeing strategic direction and operations for a large organization with significant assets and revenue. Additionally, Nancy contributed to the Workers' Compensation Board in various capacities, including Vice President of Client Services and General Counsel, from 1997 to 2004. Nancy's educational background includes a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Dalhousie University, a Master of Industrial Relations from Queen's University, and a Commerce degree from Saint Mary's University, complemented by certification as an Institute-certified Director from the Rotman Directors Education Program.
