Jane Holwerda

Jane Holwerda, PhD, serves as the Vice President of Academic Affairs at Dodge City Community College, where experience includes roles as Dean of Academics and Professor of English Composition and Literature since August 2003. Holwerda’s teaching portfolio encompasses a wide range of English courses, utilizing various delivery methods, and involvement in numerous committees, including curriculum and academic advisory roles. Holwerda has received the Academic Teacher of the Year award in 2016 and has contributed to the academic community through facilitation of book discussions with the Kansas Humanities Council and participation in online education with eduKan. Educational qualifications include a PhD in American Studies and a graduate certificate in Rhetoric and Composition from Indiana University East, alongside master's and bachelor's degrees from Saint Louis University and Marymount College of Kansas, respectively.
