PhD Sezin Tunaboylu

Sezin Tunaboylu has extensive work experience in various roles related to data science, business analytics, and software development. PhD Sezin began their career as an intern at Ege Bölgesi Sanayi Odası and İstanbul Menkul Kıymetler Borsası in 2006 and 2007, respectively. PhD Sezin then worked as an intern at the Central Bank of Turkey in 2008.

In 2008, Tunaboylu joined Dokuz Eylül University as an assistant student, where they worked on projects related to text mining, data mining, and software development. PhD Sezin also gained experience in statistical and machine learning analysis, as well as teaching programming and statistics courses. PhD Sezin'sresponsibilities included leading project students and working on TUBITAK projects.

After completing their role at Dokuz Eylül University, Tunaboylu joined Keşfeden Bilişim in 2013 as a Senior Business Analyst. PhD Sezin contributed to sales improvement analysis, implemented business intelligence systems, and managed e-commerce and custom software development projects. PhD Sezin also gained experience in search engine optimization and online advertising.

In 2017, Tunaboylu joined Kale Pratt & Whitney as a Software Specialist. PhD Sezin'sresponsibilities included improving and developing ERP software, managing software projects, and leading the information security certification project. PhD Sezin also contributed to statistical analysis and wrote information security system documents.

In 2018, Tunaboylu joined Metalfrio Solutions as a Software Supervisor. PhD Sezin'srole involved big data analysis, data visualization, and in-house software development. PhD Sezin also worked on sales, finance, and production planning modeling.

From 2020 to 2022, Tunaboylu worked at Garanti BBVA Teknoloji as a Senior Data Scientist. PhD Sezin'sresponsibilities included applying data science techniques and contributing to various projects.

From 2019 to 2022, Tunaboylu worked at NETAŞ as a Senior Data Scientist, ML/DL/AI Senior Engineer, and Big Data & Business Analytics - ML/AI/DL Manager. PhD Sezin'sroles involved leading teams, implementing machine learning techniques, and managing big data and business analytics projects.

Currently, Tunaboylu is working at Doğuş Teknoloji as the Data Science Group Manager, where they are responsible for overseeing the data science team's operations.

Dr. Sezin Tunaboylu obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Statistics from Ege University, where they attended from 2003 to 2008. PhD Sezin then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Data Mining (Clustering, Genetic Algorithms) from Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi, where they studied from 2008 to 2011. Subsequently, they continued their educational journey at Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi, completing their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Soft Computing Methods (Fuzzy Logic, Neural Networks, BCI) from 2011 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Dr. Tunaboylu has obtained various certifications related to machine learning and artificial intelligence. These certifications include "Building and Deploying Deep Learning Applications with TensorFlow," "Machine Learning for Marketing: Essential Training," "NLP with Python for Machine Learning Essential Training," "Applied AI for IT Operations," "Building Deep Learning Applications with Keras 2.0," and "Deep Learning: Image Recognition." These certifications were obtained from LinkedIn, with the most recent ones being acquired in August and September 2020.
