Open is currently a Video Specialist at Dogwood Media Solutions, LLC. Prior to this, they worked as an Online Content Strategist at GuideStone Financial Resources from February 2015 to May 2015. There, they worked in the SiteCore Content Management System to develop front end strategies to increase user engagement of GuideStone.org and other sites. They also worked with the development team and management to move the site to a responsive web design business silo by silo. Additionally, they worked to move video content from Ooyala to YouTube to take advantage of social media possibilities.

From May 2016 to December 2018, Open served as a Web and Social Media Strategist at Vaughn Forest Church. And from January 2013 to February 2015, they served as the Technical Director at Vaughn Forest Church.

Open's career began as a Digital Marketing Strategist at the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions in February 2012, a position they held until January 2017.

Open has a Bachelor of Science in General Business from Auburn University at Montgomery and an Associate's degree in Radio and Television from Jefferson State Community College. They are certified in Sprout Social Media Certification and Social Media Marketing Certification Exam from Sprout Social, Inc. and Hootsuite Media Inc., respectively.
