Daniel Utzschneider has a strong background in research with a focus in infection and immunity. Daniel started their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at CHUV Lausanne university hospital in 2015. Daniel then moved to the University of California, San Diego, where they continued their postdoctoral work until 2018. From 2018 onwards, they joined The Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity, where they started as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and is currently serving as the Head Of Laboratory.
Daniel Utzschneider pursued their education in a disciplined manner. Daniel completed their Master's Degree in Biology, General from RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau between 2005 and 2009. Following this, in 2009, they wrote their Diploma Thesis in the Clinical Research Group of Prof. Viktor Magdolen at the Technical University of Munich. Later, they attained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Immunology from the University of Lausanne - UNIL between 2010 and 2014.
