Hasan Basri Aktan was born in Kemaliye in 1952. In 1975, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Istanbul University.
Between 1976 and 1988, he served as Junior Tax Inspector, Tax Inspector, and Senior Tax Inspector of the Ministry of Finance. During 1985-1986 he specialized in value-added tax in Germany. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Accounting Experts between 1989-1994, General Manager of the Revenues Department of the Ministry of Finance in 1994-1997, Ministry Counselor in 1998-1999, and Minister of Transport in 1999. During 2002- 2009 he served as the Undersecretariat of the Ministry of Finance. He is still a member of the Istanbul 29 May University Board of Visitors.

The Company's production and trading operations are conducted in Bursa, Orhangazi, and its aluminum casting factory is located in Manisa Industrial Area. In addition to the automotive industry, the Company provides solutions for a range of industries include agriculture, construction and mining, heavy trucks, machine building and wind power.
