Michael Sviben

Michael Sviben has a diverse range of work experience, primarily in the fields of security testing, vulnerability management, and IT operations. Michael is currently serving as Co-Founder and Strategic Advisor at DomainGuard since March 2022 and December 2021, respectively. Prior to that, they held positions at LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) as Director of Security Testing and Vulnerability Management from August 2021 to November 2021 and as Director of Offensive Security Operations from February 2021 to August 2021. Before joining LSEG, they worked at Refinitiv, an LSEG business, as Director of Offensive Security Operations from November 2018 to February 2021. Michael also has experience working as an Associate Director, Sr. Manager, and Manager in various roles related to penetration testing, red team operations, and IT security at Protiviti from 2011 to 2018. Additionally, they worked as an Enterprise Security Architect at Clearswift from December 2009 to June 2011 and as an IT Support Specialist at ING Direct USA from February 2008 to December 2009. Michael'searly career includes a role as an Information Systems Analyst at the South Jersey Port Corporation from November 2005 to January 2008.

Michael Sviben completed their education at two different institutions. Michael obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Computer Information Systems from Camden County College in 2005. Michael later attended Drexel University from 2008 to 2010 and received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computing and Security Technology.

In addition to their formal education, Sviben also obtained several certifications in the field of computer security. Michael became an Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) in September 2015 through Offensive Security. In June 2008, they acquired the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certification from Microsoft. Michael also achieved the PCI-ASV certification from the PCI Security Standards Council in October 2014 and the PCI-QSA certification from the same institution in August 2012. It is worth noting that they hold the Security+ certification from CompTIA, although the exact timing of obtaining this certification is not specified.
