Pawel Foremski is an accomplished academic and engineering professional with extensive experience in network security and distributed systems. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Polish Academy of Sciences, IITiS since March 2011, Pawel conducts research on BGP security, IoT DDoS attack mitigation, DNS streaming data analytics, and statistical models for IPv6 Internet analysis. Previously, roles included Staff Software Engineer at Kentik, where a new BGP analytics platform was designed, and Senior Research Engineer focusing on BGP Flowspec for DDoS mitigation. Additional experience includes significant contributions at Farsight Security, Inc., and Akamai Technologies, along with entrepreneurial leadership as Founder and CTO of ASN Sp. z o.o. Pawel holds a PhD in Computer Science from Silesian University of Technology, completed in 2019, and a Master's degree in the same field earned in 2011.
