Steven D. Ridge is senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Ridge became chief financial officer in November 2022 and is responsible for corporate and financial planning, investor relations, accounting, tax, treasury, mergers and acquisitions and asset management.

Prior to assuming his current role, Ridge was vice president and general manager–Western Distribution and responsible for leading the company’s western gas distribution operations including the safe and reliable delivery of affordable and clean energy to 1.2 million natural gas utility customers in Utah, Wyoming and Idaho.

Prior to that, Ridge was vice president–Investor Relations and responsible for engagement with members of the financial community.

Ridge has also held leadership positions in the company’s mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy, and financial management departments. Before joining Dominion Energy in 2014, Ridge was a member of the Energy Investment Banking Group at J.P. Morgan in New York City. Over nearly a decade, Ridge progressed from Analyst to Executive Director and worked with public and private clients in the power and natural gas sectors on strategic and financing transactions.

Ridge has served on the boards of the Salt Lake Chamber, the Economic Development Corporation of Utah (EDCUtah), the Richmond Visual Arts Center, the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation and Blue Racer Midstream. He also supports the Virginia Down Syndrome Association.

Ridge earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in international economics and finance from Brandeis University.
