Jeff Tulley has extensive work experience in software engineering and leadership roles. Jeff started their career in 1996 as a Software Developer at the Environmental Modelling Research Laboratory, where they developed and maintained a windowing library for water modeling software. In 1999, they worked as a Software Engineer at the Community Learning Information Center, where they worked on various projects and developed a security mechanism for distributed software nodes.
In 1999, Tulley joined Novell, Inc as a Software Engineer, focusing on web application servers and Health Monitoring Services technologies. Jeff then joined Microsoft in 2005 as a Software Engineer II, working on search federation technology and the main query processing module for Microsoft's Enterprise Search product.
From 2010 to 2016, Tulley worked at Mozy (an EMC company) as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for revamping Mozy's restore experience and scaling the product to handle the restore of millions of files. Jeff also worked on the Mozy Virtual Machine Backup (VMBU) project, contributing to the front-end UI, Java service layer, and backup code.
Since 2016, Tulley has been working at Domo, Inc. Jeff started as a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead, focusing on backend services for the dataflows/ETL team. Jeff later transitioned to work on a brand new Approvals feature, where they worked on both backend services and UI development using Java, Go, Angular, and React. In 2018, they moved to the Android Team.
Outside of their software engineering roles, Tulley has also held leadership positions. Jeff served as the President and Board Secretary of Utah Valley Oasis - a Community of Good from 2018 to present. Jeff was also a Board Member from 2016 to 2017.
Jeff Tulley attended Brigham Young University from 1992 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering.
