Bent Skaug has worked in the technology industry for over 25 years. In 1995, they founded Winsoft AS, a consulting company providing software solutions based on Microsoft architecture. In 2006, they merged the company with Ethos Technologies (China), and took on the role of Country Manager. In 1997, they co-founded n3sport AS, a company that secured two rounds of financing (€6 mill) before being sold to Orkla Media in 2003. In 2005, they founded Zafe AS with Vebjørn Berre, a startup providing services for online backup targeting home and SMB-markets. This company was closed down in 2009. In 2010, they became the CTO of Changetech AS, an internet-based company making solutions for digital therapy. In this role, they were responsible for technology and also took a central part in product- and business-development. For a period, they also worked as CFO and CEO. In 2010, they also became an Entrepreneur at Mytos AS, a company in the Telecom Expense Management (TEM) segment. Bent co-founded the company and had a central part in product development. The company sold to Techstep ASA in February 2017. In 2019, they took on the role of Board Member at DignaCare. Finally, in 2013, they founded Domos AS.

Bent Skaug's education history includes a MBA from INSEAD in 2004, an MSc in Information Technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) between 1992 and 1994, a Cand Mag in Computer Science from the University of Oslo / Oslo College of Engineering (OIH) between 1988 and 1991, and Realfag from Nordstrand videreg\u00e5ende skole between 1985 and 1988. Bent also attended Godlia skole between 1976 and 1985. In addition, they obtained a Duolingo French Fluency: Beginner (Estimated) certification from Duolingo in March 2016.
