Mahindra Makhija

Mahindra Makhija is an accomplished professional in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as the Head of Translational Research at Dompé since September 2023, where responsibilities include leading the translation of internal programs and evaluating external opportunities in rare and non-rare diseases. Previously, Makhija held various leadership roles at Takeda from 2007 to 2023, including Director of Translational and External Innovation Lead, focusing on preclinical and clinical translation in the rare disease space. Makhija has also served as Associate Director at Eurofins, overseeing strategic alliances and research collaborations for CNS, autoimmune, and metabolic disorders, and held positions with ALTANA AG and the Western Australian Biomedical Research Institute. Educationally, Makhija holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University Department of Chemical Technology and Curtin University.
