Sarah Carty Ph.D.

Sarah Carty, PhD, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Sarah is currently serving as the Head of Business Development for Exscalate Drug Discovery Platform at Dompé since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Business Development at e-therapeutics PLC from October 2020 to September 2022.

In addition, Sarah has also worked as an Independent Business Development Consultant from January 2020 to September 2020. Before that, they worked at Alkermes as the Director of Business Development, where they were responsible for in-licensing and out-licensing activities across various therapeutic areas. Their contributions at Alkermes led to the successful licensing of FDA-approved product ANJESO for pain management.

Sarah's earlier experiences include working as the Director of Business Development at Elan Corporation from 2004 to 2011, and as a Business Development Manager at Avecia Ltd (Pharmaceuticals division) from 2001 to 2004. Sarah started their career at Avecia as a Chemistry Team Leader and Technical Transfer Specialist from 1998 to 2001.

Throughout their career, Sarah has demonstrated expertise in business development and successfully contributed to the growth and success of various organizations.

Sarah Carty holds a PhD in Physical Organic Chemistry from University College Dublin. Sarah also completed a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the same institution. Furthermore, they obtained an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Bradford.
