Daryl Quam has a strong background in engineering, particularly in the area of filtration technologies. Daryl started their career at Mentor Corporation as an R&D Mechanical Engineer Co-Op Intern before moving on to Phillips Plastics Corporation, where they worked as a Mechanical Engineer II and a CAE Intern. Quam then joined Donaldson, where they held multiple roles including Applications Engineer II, Senior Engineer - CAE, and most recently, Principal Engineer. In their roles at Donaldson, they led the development of advanced CFD and FEA methodologies for filtration technologies, contributed to the development of a proprietary cloud-based simulation tool, and played a key role in the optimization of engineering simulation software and high-performance computing hardware initiatives. Quam's accomplishments also include leading efforts in CFD analyses, developing advanced CFD methods, and contributing to the development of multi-scale multiphase engineering simulation methodologies.
Daryl Quam has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota, which they obtained from 2001 to 2006. Daryl also attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville from 2007 to 2009, studying engineering. Additionally, they briefly attended the University of Minnesota in 2009 to study Mechanical Engineering. Daryl also obtained an EIT Certificate from the MN Board of AELSLAGID in 2007.
