David Bawel

David Bawel, CPA, CPCU, ARe, has a comprehensive work experience in various roles within the insurance and financial sectors. David started their career as an Internal Auditor at Weis Markets, Inc. in 2006, where they gained experience in conducting internal audits. In 2008, they joined KPMG as an External Auditor, where they performed financial statement audits for clients in the insurance industry. David then joined Griffin Financial Group in 2012 as an Associate, specializing in transaction advisory and consulting services for P&C insurance companies. In the same year, they also joined Donegal Insurance Group as an Assistant Vice President of Internal Audit, where they played a vital role in coordinating and reporting on audits and identifying potential risks. David currently holds the position of Vice President of Financial Reporting & Analysis at Donegal Insurance Group, monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing recommendations for business planning and operational efficiency.

David Bawel holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting from Susquehanna University. David has also obtained additional certifications including ARe (Associate in Reinsurance) from The Institutes in 2016, CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) from The Institutes in 2015, and CPA (Certified Public Accountant) from AICPA in 2009.
