Valerie Chipman

Director, Organ Allocation Operations at Donor Network West

Valerie Chipman is the Director of Organ Allocation Operations at Donor Network West. Valerie has over 15 years of experience in transplant coordination, starting as an Anatomy Teaching Assistant at the University of Utah in 2004. In 2006, they became a Clinical Nurse at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics, where they worked for five years. In 2011, they began working as a Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Coordinator at Intermountain Healthcare, where they coordinated over 200 complex exchange transplants. In 2014, they began working as a Kidney Transplant Exchange Coordinator at UCSF Medical Center, where they increased the number of yearly exchanges from 21 to 52.

Valerie Chipman has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Utah and is certified as a Registered Nurse in the states of California and Utah.
