Joe Paton

Joe Paton currently serves as the Executive Business Development Manager at Marubeni Europower, focusing on opportunities in hydrogen, CCUS, and electrification to support industry and transport decarbonization. Previously, Paton held multiple roles at bp, including Head of Hydrogen Mobility UK, where leadership of a consortium for hydrogen refueling stations was a key responsibility. Paton also has a strong background in project management and engineering from Air Products, overseeing significant projects in hydrogen mobility and industrial gas operations across Europe. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Imperial Business School. In addition to professional roles, Paton contributes as a volunteer with the Dons Local Action Group.
