Neil Patterson

Neil Patterson is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the automotive industry. Currently serving as the VP of Engineering Programmes at Donut Lab since July 2025, Patterson previously held the position of Vehicle Line Director at Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd from September 2023 to June 2025 and Director of Programmes at Group Lotus from July 2022 to August 2023, overseeing all current and future sports car programmes for Lotus Cars. Before that, Patterson was the Principal & CEO of Silverstone UTC, a pioneering school in High Performance Engineering and Cyber Security, from February 2013 to July 2022. Earlier in the career, Patterson served as Chief Engineer at McLaren Automotive and held various design engineering roles at companies such as Daewoo, NedCar, and Geodetic Machines Ltd. Patterson holds an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering and Education from the University of Northampton.
