John Lillquist, P.E. has a diverse work experience. John started at the University of Utah Department of Mechanical Engineering, where they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in both the Turbulence and Renewable Energy Lab and the Safety and Ergonomics Lab. During this time, they gained experience in designing, manufacturing, and testing various prototypes.

Currently, John is employed at Doppelmayr USA. John initially served as a Field Service Engineer, troubleshooting PLC and wiring issues, and designing modifications for unsupported equipment. Afterward, they transitioned into the role of an Electrical Engineer, leading teams, pricing components and man hours for project proposals, and designing electrical control systems.

John Lillquist, P.E. received their Bachelor of Science (HB.S.) degree in Honors Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah, where they attended from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended Park City High School from 2010 to 2013. John also holds additional certifications including a Professional Engineer (PE) license obtained from the Utah Department of Commerce in 2023.
