Eric van de Meent has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the cycling and sports industry. Eric started their career in 2001 as a Sales employee at Rein Veenendaal Fietsen, where they developed their communication and customer service skills. Eric then transitioned to a Semi Pro Cyclist role at KrolStonE from 2007 to 2008, Qin Cycling in 2010, and Marco Polo Cycling Team in 2009 as a Trainee and in 2009 as a Semi Pro Cyclist.
In 2011, Eric became an Account Manager at Continental Banden Groep B.V., where they also worked as a Sales Promoter for Continental Bicycle Tyres, carrying out promotional activities and supporting dealers with product information. Eric continued their career at Euro-Tyre B.V. as an Assistant General Sales Manager and later as a Sales Manager Online.
From 2013 to 2017, Eric worked at Pon Tyre Group, starting as a Youngster and taking on additional department and organizational issues to develop their competences under the guidance of a mentor. Eric later became a Sales Manager Online.
In 2017, Eric joined Amer Sports Corporation as a Field Sales Manager for the Netherlands, responsible for wholesale sales of leading sport brands. Eric implemented an omni-channel strategy and focused on consultative selling to enhance the customer experience.
Currently, Eric is working at Cycling Sports Group as the Head of Business Intelligence & Sales Operations, utilizing their expertise in sales operations and business intelligence to drive the company's sales strategies in Europe as well as serving as the Key Account Manager for Europe since 2019.
Eric van de Meent has a diverse education history. In 2002, they attended ROC Aventus, where they pursued intermediate vocational education in Commerce employee Marketing en Communication. Following this, they enrolled at Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen (HAN) in 2005 to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and Economics, which they completed in 2010. In 2012, Eric attended Mercuri International to study Sales/Verkoop. In 2013, they engaged in personal development studies at Pon Young Professionals - Pon - Ormit. Lastly, in 2015, they participated in the Pon Innovation Days at Harvard Business School.
