Dr. Surabhi Thorat

Dr. Surabhi Thorat has a diverse work experience ranging from being the Head of Data Science at Dorf Ketal and Aritar Pvt Ltd, to serving as an Assistant Professor at Somaiya Vidyavihar University, MIT Aurangabad, and DITMS. Dr. Surabhi has also worked as a Freelance Data Science Trainer, Project Developer, and Kaggle Contributor. In addition, they have held the role of Head at Sai Infoway.

Dr. Surabhi Thorat has a diverse education history, with several degrees and certifications in various fields. Dr. Surabhi began their academic journey in 1996 at Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, where they obtained a PRPC Engg Diploma in Petroleum Engineering in 1999. Dr. Surabhi then pursued a BCA degree in Computer Science from Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal, from 1999 to 2002. Following this, they completed their Master of Computer Applications (MCA) in Computer Science from the same university from 2002 to 2005.

Dr. Thorat continued their educational pursuits and went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in ML & NLP from Doctor Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University between 2014 and 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Dr. Thorat has also obtained various certifications. Dr. Surabhi completed several Tableau Software certifications, including Desktop-I Fundamentals, Desktop II: Intermediate, Desktop III: Advanced, Prep Builder, Tableau Analyst, Tableau Author, and Tableau Consumer. These certifications were obtained in 2020, with the most recent being in November of that year. Furthermore, they have also completed certifications in Data Analysis Using Python and Python for Data Science from IBM in May and April 2020, respectively. This demonstrates their commitment to enhancing their skills and knowledge in data analysis and visualization.
