Sam Gill

Sam Gill has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. They most recently served as the President and CEO of the Doris Duke Foundation since April 2021. Prior to that, Sam worked as the Senior Vice President/Chief Program Officer at the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation from June 2015 to February 2021. They also held the position of Trustee at the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science from November 2016 to January 2020. Earlier in their career, Sam worked as a Vice President at Freedman Consulting, LLC from July 2008 to June 2015, and as a Researcher at Media Matters for America from September 2005 to February 2006.

Sam Gill completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree at the University of Chicago from 2001 to 2005. Following this, from 2006 to 2008, they pursued a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree at the University of Oxford. The field of study for both degrees is not specified.
