Sindy Escobar Alvarez

Sindy Escobar Alvarez has a diverse work experience in the field of medical research. Sindy started their career as a Research Associate II at ActivX Biosciences in 2002, where they worked until 2004. Sindy then pursued a doctoral degree at Cornell University Weill Graduate School from 2005 to 2010. During this time, they also worked as a Research Fellow at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center from 2010 to 2011. Sindy later joined the Doris Duke Foundation, where they held various roles in medical research. Sindy started as a Program Officer for Medical Research from 2010 to 2015, then became a Senior Program Officer from 2016 to 2021, and currently serves as a Program Director from February 2021 onwards.

Sindy Escobar Alvarez has a strong educational background in the field of science. From 2004 to 2010, they attended Cornell University where they pursued a Ph.D. in Pharmacology. Prior to their doctoral studies, from 2000 to 2002, they obtained a Master of Bioscience (MBS) degree from Keck Graduate Institute. Sindy'sacademic journey began at the Universidad del Valle de Guatemala, where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from 1995 to 2000. Sindy's education has equipped their with a solid foundation in the field of science and prepared their for a successful career in their chosen field of study.
