Soledad Soto is a conservation and resource studies graduate from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Bachelor of Science degree earned in 2019. Since 2017, Soledad has contributed to the UCSC Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program as a Doris Duke Alumni while serving as a Conservation Scholar with the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. Current roles include a research assistant position at Friday Harbor Labs, focusing on endangered Chinook salmon habitats, and a research apprentice in multiple projects, including studying black-tailed deer behavior and collecting entomological specimens. Previous experience also includes an internship at Wilmers Lab, where methods for data collection on pumas were enhanced.
