EVP Conventional & New Energies at DORIS Group

Richard Alabaster's work experience includes a range of leadership roles in the energy and industrial sectors. Richard is currently the EVP Conventional & New Energies at DORIS Group since December 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Non-executive Board Director at Equipt, Inc. starting in August 2021. From October 2020, Richard worked as an Independent Board Director, Interim Manager, and Expert Advisor at Aroha Haven SAS, providing guidance and support to international companies in the energy and industrial sectors. Richard also served as an Advisor at Evolve Village starting in March 2021.

Earlier in their career, Richard held multiple leadership positions at TechnipFMC, starting as the EVP Transition & Human Resources in September 2019. Richard played a key role in the carve-out and spin-off of the Onshore-Offshore division and other business units, establishing Technip Energies as a new independent company. Richard also served as the President Surface Technologies, in charge of the global non-subsea businesses. Prior to TechnipFMC, Richard was the Vice President Surface Technologies & Energy Infrastructure at FMC Technologies, with global responsibilities for non-subsea businesses.

Before their roles at FMC Technologies, Richard held various managerial positions within the company, including General Manager Surface Integrated Services, General Manager Fluid Control Division, Chairman of the Board FMC Europe SA, and Vice President & General Manager Measurement Systems.

Richard Alabaster began their career as a Scientist at the New Zealand Department of Scientific & Industrial Research in April 1983. Richard has also worked as a Senior Field Engineer at Schlumberger, General Manager and Research Engineer at Hydrox Corporation, and a Consultant at Peers & Co.

Richard Alabaster received their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from INSEAD in 1991, with a focus on Business Administration and Management. Additionally, they have obtained a certification in Corporate Governance: Essentials for a New Business Era from Wharton Executive Education in 2021.
