Christian Blum

Christian Blum has extensive work experience in information technology and digital transformation. Christian currently serves as the Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO) at dormakaba since March 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Group CIO at dormakaba from August 2022 to March 2023. Before joining dormakaba, they worked as the Group CIO at Axpo Group from April 2020 to July 2022 and at Vifor Pharma from July 2013 to March 2020. Earlier in their career, Christian was the Head of IT for global Quality Assurance and Quality Control at Novartis Pharma from August 2003 to June 2013. Christian also held positions at ABB as the Global eBusiness & CRM Competence Center Manager from August 2000 to May 2003, and at Sika Informationssysteme AG as an SAP Consultant from April 1999 to July 2000, and as the Local IT Head for Sika Brazil & ERP Project Manager from August 1996 to March 1999.

Christian Blum completed their education in a variety of institutions. Christian obtained a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from Hochschule für Wirtschaft Zürich, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. In 1999, they pursued their studies at SAP College and completed a Post Graduate degree in ERP Systems. In 2004, they attended Harvard University for the Novartis IT Excellence Program. In 2011, they furthered their education at The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, completing the Novartis Advanced Leadership Program with a focus on Strategy and Leadership. In 2016, Christian Blum attended the University of St.Gallen for the Vifor Pharma Leadership Program. Most recently, in 2019, they attended IMD for the Leading Digital Business Transformation program.
