Emily Jex

Emily Jex is a data analyst currently working at the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy since January 2022. Previous experience includes roles as a Competitive Pricing Data Analyst at Meijer and as a Nursing and Economics Graduate Research Assistant at Grand Valley State University, where responsibilities involved statistical consulting and data analysis. Emily has also completed a Biostatistics Internship at Montcalm Care Network, focusing on health status information analysis, and worked as a student researcher at Olivet College Archives, where tasks included document analysis and public engagement. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Biostatistics from Grand Valley State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and History from The University of Olivet.

These include the Frey Chair for Family Philanthropy and the W.K. Kellogg Community Philanthropy Chair, both of which support original research in the field. We also publish “The Foundation Review,” the first peer-reviewed journal of philanthropy, four times per year.
