Melyssa Tsai

Melyssa Tsai is an experienced research manager currently employed at the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy, where responsibilities include designing program evaluation projects, managing operations, performing data analysis, and writing technical reports. Melyssa previously served as a Research Health Science Specialist at the Department of Veterans Affairs, coordinating studies related to Veterans and their families. Academic contributions include work as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, participating in studies on influenza, Norovirus, and conducting epidemiological research. Melyssa holds a Master in Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Occidental College. Additional experience includes internships focused on environmental health, community leadership, and conducting various independent research projects.

We also publish “The Foundation Review,” the first peer-reviewed journal of philanthropy, four times per year.
